    Heroine means a brave girl or woman who does many good works in her life.

    It also means the main female character in a film or story.

    • A good wife is like a heroine in her husband life.
    • The heroine acted better than hero in the film.


    Heroin

    Heroin is a powerful illegal drug made from morphine. It is very addictive drug that some people take it for pleasure.



    What is the difference between heroine and heroin ?

    The word heroine stands for a female character of real or reel life. 

    Malala Yousafzai is a real heroine who fought against terrorists.


    Heroin is an addictive drug. It looks like white powder that has some negative effects on our body. Many countries have banned it.



    How to memorize the difference?

    Heroine with "e" means female character; we can memorize it by connecting "e" with "female".

    However, heroin without  "e" is illegal in many countries, and dangerous drug for our body.
