What is the difference between Ophthalmologist, Optician, Optometrist ?


Ophthalmologist is a doctor who specializes in the structure and diseases of the eye.

They remove the cataract and insert lens in eyes. You find them in operation theatre.


Optician is one who makes and sells lenses, eyeglasses, and optical equipment. You find them in eyeglass shops.


Optometrist is one who examines the eye for visual defects and prescribes lenses or eye exercises. You met them in hospital before doing any types of eye's operation.
