Meaning:-
  • Looking pale, weak, tired
Usages:-
         She smiled wanly.
WANE (N/V)-
Meaning:-
  • To become gradually weaker, fade or less important
Usages:-
          Actress popularity is waning day by day.


WANT VS WONT
WANT (N/V)-
Meaning:-
  • To have a desire or wish for something
Usages:-
         Every man wants money.
WONT (N/Adj.)-
Meaning:-
  • Accustomed, habit of doing something
  • Habit, something a person often does
Usages:-
          I am wont of smoking.

ZEALOUS VS JEALOUS
ZEALOUS (Adj.)-
Meaning:-
  • Full of energy, eager, enthusiasm, interest
Usages:-
         Our leaders should be zealous.
JEALOUS (Adj.)-
Meaning:-
  • Feeling angry, unhappy and strongly wanting someone else's possessions
 Usages:-
          She is jealous of my success.

DEVICE VS DEVISE
DEVICE (N)-
Meaning:-
  • An object or a piece of equipment that has been designed to do a particular job
Usages:-
       We should use electrical saving devices in our home.
DEVISE (V)-
Meaning:-
  • Think up, to invent something new 
Usages:-
         A new machine has been devised.

PATROL VS PETROL
PATROL (N/V)-
Meaning:-
  • To go ground an area or a building at regular times to check that it is safe and that there is no trouble
Usages:-
         Guards are patrolling in the city.
PETROL (N)-
Meaning:-
  • Inflammable liquid obtained from petroleum used as fuel
Usages:-
         Cars run on petrol.
