JUGGERNAUT(N)-

MEANING:-
  • A massive inexorable force that seems to crush everything in its ways
  • A very large truck
  • A large and powerful force that cannot be controlled

Juggernaut originates from Indian word Jaganath " lord of the world". Jaganath is a Hindu God, who is worshiped primarily by Hindu and in Indian states of Orissa. Because of a story that devotees allowed themselves to be crushed by the idol as it was being moved in a procession, the word juggernaut has come to mean an irresistible, ruthless force that destroys every-things in its path, an engine or machine or destruction.

Examples:-
  1.  In recent years, china has become the sport's juggernaut. 
  2.  There is so many bureaucratic Juggernaut in Indian politics.


SUTTEE(N)-

MEANING:-
  • A good and faithful Woman
  • Self annihilation
MORE ABOUT:-
Suttee comes form word Sati (a sanskrit word). Sati was a very cruel custom in ancient India, in this custom a woman mainly a wife(widow) who had to get in funeral pyre with her dead husband. It was believe that when a widow gets Sati, she would become Goddess, a noble woman.


PARIAH(N)-

  • A person who is rejected from society
  • A person who is not acceptable to society
  • A person who is avoided by everyone

MORE ABOUT:-
Pariah comes from Tamil in India. Pariah were drummers, servants and a member of the lowest caste of Hindu society serving as a laborer or farm worker. Pariahs were untouchables in India that's why they were living outside of the society.


NIRVANA(N)-

MEANING:- 
  • The state of peace and happiness after giving up all personal desires
  • Any place of complete bliss and delight and peace
MORE ABOUT:-
Nirvana is a Sanskrit word of India which means a blowing out, a freedom form pain and passion, complete inner peace. Achieving nirvana is to make earthy feelings like suffering and desire disappear.


BRAHMAN/BRAHMIN(N)-

MEANING:-
  • A priest 
  • A person who is rich and has a lot influence in society
MORE ABOUT:-
Brahmins  also comes from Sanskrit. The Brahmins were a priestly caste, the highest among the Hindus. Their task was was to take care of certain religious writings and rituals.
