Meaning:-

Usages:-

BONY (Adj.)-
Meaning:-
  • very thin so that the bones can be seen under the skin
  • full of small bones
Usages:-
  1. A tall bony man.
  2. Some fish has bony feature.


CANVAS VS CANVASS
CANVAS (N)-
Meaning:-
  • a strong heavy cloth used for making tents, sails, etc. and a piece of canvas for painting on
Usages:-
  1. We spent nigh under the canvas.
  2. Painters show their talents on canvas.
CANVASS (V)-
Meaning:-
  • to ask somebody to support or votes a particular person, political party, etc, especially by going around an area and talking to people
Usages:-
  1. Party spent the whole month canvassing for votes.


IDLE VS IDYLL
IDLE (Adj./V)-
Meaning:-
  • not working; without work
Usages:-

IDYLL (N)-
Meaning:-
  • a happy and peaceful place, event, a poem or story etc.
Usages:-

MANAGE VS MENAGE

Meaning:-
  • to use money, time, information, etc. in a sensible way
Usages:-
  1. He has to manage his home on less than one thousand dollars a week.
MENAGE (N)-
Meaning:-
  • all the people who live together in one house
Usages:-
  1. Everybody wants to live in a happy menage.


SECRET VS SECRETE
SECRET (Adj./N)-
Meaning:-
  • something that is known about by only a few people and not told to others
Usages:-
  1. We all have some secrets.
  2. She was dismissed fro revealing trade secrets.

SECRETE (V)-
Meaning:-
  • (from part of body or plant)to produce a liquid substance
Usages:-
  1. Insulin is secreted by the pancreas.
