VACATE (V)
Meaning:-
to leave a building, seat, etc, especially so that somebody else can use it. Eg.- Guest are requested to vacate their rooms by noon on the day of departure.

ABANDON (V)
Meaning:-
  • to leave somebody, especially somebody you are responsible for, with no intention of returning
  • to leave a thing or place, especially because it is impossible or dangerous to stay
  • to stop doing something, especially before it is finished 
  • to stop supporting or helping somebody
According to above give meaning, you can use verb abandon in a wide range. In most of the sense of leaving, you can use word Abandon.
DESERT (V)
Meaning:-
  • to leave somebody without help or support
Word Desert is used when someone leaves somebody alone or without help. You leave or desert someone who needs you most. Such as- husband deserts his wife, General deserts his army, leader deserts his followers, teachers desert his students, parents desert his daughter.

RESIGN  (V)
Meaning:-
  • to officially tell somebody that you are leaving your job, an organization, etc
You resign from from a position or possession when you don't want to carry on due to less endurance of some reason.

ABJURE (v)
Meaning:-
  • to promise publicly that you will give up or reject a belief or a way of behaving
Verb Abjure is used for rejection of something you once felt or believed that thing.
Some days ago, you have faith in God but you abjure your belief on God due to some accidents.

RETIRE (V)
Meaning:-
  • to stop doing your job, especially because you have reached a particular age
You retire from job, place, retire in sports, retire of army when some unfavourable happen to you. You retire when you go to bed in the evening.


RELINQUISH  (V)
Meaning:-
to stop having something, especially when this happens unwillingly
Verb Relinquish is used when you give up your title or possession.

RECANT (V)
Meaning:-
to say, often publicly, that you no longer have the same belief or opinion that you had before
You recant something under pressure.

QUITE (V)
Meaning:-
  • to leave your job, school or place where you live
  • to stop doing something
  • to end your life
  • to close a computer program
Quite has wide range of usages, you can use it in many aspect as act of leaving.

CAST-OFF (N)
Meaning:-
a piece of clothing that the original owner no longer wants to wear
  • Cast-off is used in sense of leaving of old cloths. Your brother wears yours cast-offs .

FOREGO (V)
Meaning:-
  • lose something or lose the right to something by some error, offence or crime

DEPART (V)
Meaning:-
  • to leave a place, especially to start a trip
You depart for trip or to move away from a place  to another place. The Train departs at 10 PM.

 FORSAKE (V)
Meaning:-
  • to leave somebody or something especially when you have a responsibility to stay
  • to stop doing something or leave something, especially something that you enjoy
You forsake drinking.
You forsake smoking.
If you are a dancer, you will forsake dancing.

ABDICATE (V)
Meaning:-
  • to give up the position of being king or queen
Verb Abdicate is used for king who leaves their responsibilities of being a King. Someone abdicates who is in power, give up their power and step down from that position.
